Osmo vs Tonies
The physical-first, screen-free book wedge.
Enter through the object, not the app. The wedge is a tactile book and a sealed reader: zero screens at the point of use, zero glow on a child's face after dark. Engagement is measured in hands, paper, and grip, never in minutes of stare time.
Osmo tethers play to a tablet; Tonies replaces the tablet with a box. Carta replaces the box with the book itself. The screen is removed from the contract entirely, so the parent's objection is gone before it forms.

The 30% Textbook Gap
Ingest national coursework standards; digitize dead ink.
Roughly thirty percent of national curriculum content sits in print that no one will reprint. Carta ingests the coursework standards directly, then partners with academic publishers who are out of runway and motivated to settle.
Their dead ink becomes our live corpus. The desperation is the leverage: we acquire structured, standards-mapped content at distress terms, and the gap closes on our ledger, not theirs.

The Weighted AI Mix
The Eva generative envelope. Parent-controlled ratio.
Eva mixes the experience on a fixed envelope: eighty-five percent entertainment, fifteen percent academic. Children stay because it plays; parents stay because it teaches. The ratio is the product.
Control sits with the parent, not the algorithm. The mix is a dial, not a black box, and the academic fifteen is the wedge that defends the price.

Stage 1 Execution
The road to $10K gross MRR.
Stage 1 is a single number: ten thousand dollars gross MRR. That is 1,111 subscribers at nine dollars per month - no rounding, no narrative inflation.
Conversion runs on native Apple IAP with FaceID. No card forms, no checkout friction; a glance commits. Velocity is the metric, and the storefront removes every step between intent and payment.
